DFN Project SEARCH

We are well into rotation two for the interns who are completing placements in various areas of the business including Compliance, Housing Operations, the People Team, Property Services, and the Group’s Internal Audit Team. One intern is also completing an external placement with a local leisure centre.

March was a busy month for the interns as they had been busy preparing for National Supported Internship Day which was on 27 March. The interns sold cakes and more than 120 raffle tickets to raise more than £175 for Key Unlocking Futures.

As part of the campaign, they created a film which included past and present interns talking about what they have achieved as a result of their internships. You can view the video here: National Supported Internship Day 2024 on Vimeo Thanks to everyone’s support, the film was placed eighth in the DFN Project SEARCH People’s Choice Competition. Fantastic news!

The interns also ran their hugely successful Easter egg appeal with Progress Housing Group and Runshaw College and donated 106 easter eggs to Derian House.

Brighter Futures

Progress Housing Group continues to offer six-month paid work placements to our tenants through the Brighter Futures initiative.  We will be recruiting a further four placements in 2024 – 2025, so watch this space!

We are pleased to confirm that following the end of her six-month Brighter Futures placement, Alex has been successful in being offered a 12-month fixed term post within Progress Housing Group.

We welcomed Jodie to the Marketing and Communications Team in February and another tenant to the Property Services team in April.
