Supporting charities through our Charity Fund 2024/25

Every year we support tenants and colleagues with their fundraising activity through our Charity Fund.

All tenants and colleagues are able to apply for funding to support their fundraising activity for local or national charities.  The application is super simple, all you have to do is check the guidance notes, complete an application form via our webpage and send it to the Customer Voice Team Community@progressgroup.org.uk

Last year the Charity Fund approved 25 applications and gave £13,212 to charities.  This meant that the charities being supported received a whopping £24,065.

Some of our colleagues have also raised money for various charities, with a mix of walking challenges, a boxing match, a Santa dash, a 10-mile race and a food event.

As a result, we have donated money to Macmillan, Alzheimer’s Society, Refuge, Rosemere Cancer Foundation, The Stroke Association, Trussell Trust, Shelter, Key Unlocking Futures, Mind, St Catherine’s Hospice, Kingston Hospital Charity, Rochdale Dog Rescue, Samaritans, Cancer Research UK, Preston Black History Group, Derian House, Doing it for Dylan and Pancreatic Cancer UK.

So, if you are taking part in any fundraising events over the next few months, whether that is a cake sale, sky dive, braving the shave or a sponsored walk, please don’t forget to submit an application to the Charity Fund via our webpage: Funding for community groups and projects | Progress Housing Group
