Swap your home using HomeSwapper

We are helping our tenants swap their homes through an interactive new web tool  - HomeSwapper.

Here is our Area Housing Officer for the North, Sarah, as she tells us more about the nationwide mutual exchange service and how it benefits tenants:

“We are really excited about helping our tenants join HomeSwapper because it will make the mutual exchange process much quicker and easier for them.

“We get many tenants wanting to swap properties, and they may use Select Move or Facebook Marketplace, but this gives them access to a wider community of swappers.

“With more choice, our tenants will find their desired swap much quicker.

“As this is a paid service for tenants, they can get all the benefits of being part of the the HomeSwapper community for free.” 

 

How does it work?

Tenants register on the Homeswapper website, which is a self-service tool to advertise their property and upload photos.

As they search for suitable properties in their desired area, they will be matched with another tenant who would be interested in swapping their home.

Tenants then contact us, so we can fill out the application form and facilitate the swap.

Why should tenants use this service?

·         It offers tenants more choice, with potential swaps with more than 400,000 tenants

·         There is national coverage with 440+ registered providers

·         There is round-the-clock support for tenants through its customer service teams

·         Tenants become part of an active peer community

·         All home swaps need to be approved by housing providers, offering extra security and reassurance

·         It is easy to use

All our housing officers are fully trained on using the service and have helpful user guides to support tenants with any queries they have.
