Tenants' Forum update | November 2025

Our Tenants' Forum met in November. The main theme was Health and Safety and Building Compliance. Here is a summary of what they discussed:

Project Updates
•    we have scheduled a Repairs Journey Session for 20 November to guide tenants through the repair process.
•    work to allow tenants access to property compliance certificates through a portal is ongoing.
•    a new tenant portal is being developed with improved features, aiming for launch by March 2026.
•    tenants will be involved in shaping both the compliance and tenant portals.

Communication and Accessibility
•    a 'Tenants’ Talk' page has been added to the website for clearer updates: Tenants' Talk | Progress Housing Group
•    our meeting notes may be generated initially by using Copilot AI and reviewed by colleagues.
•    notes will be available in both simplified and detailed formats, online and on notice boards at independent living schemes.

Tenant Engagement
•    257 individual tenants participated in activities last quarter (July to September).
•    these activities have enabled tenants to:
•    help inform our Group response to government consultations on the Decent Homes Standard; social rent convergence and energy efficiency of socially rented homes
•    provide supporting information about our customer service for the Customer Service Excellence Accreditation
•    judge entries for our Progress in Bloom competition
•    review our approach to hearing and acting on the voice of tenants

Satisfaction and Performance
•    satisfaction improved after we started successfully clearing older repairs.
•    both perception and transactional surveys are used to measure feedback.
•    benchmarking shows good performance; our main areas of focus include complaints and diversity data.

Health and Safety
•    we have a strategy in place to reduce injuries and improve safety culture.
•    our monthly and quarterly reports track compliance.
•    we want to encourage our tenants to report anything they see as a near-miss or a potential hazard before it becomes a real hazard.
•    any health and safety issues which tenants report to colleagues are addressed promptly.

Events and Next Steps
•   the next forum meeting is scheduled for 29 January 2026. The topic will be value for money and social value.

Meeting notes were generated by AI and adapted by the Customer Voice and Marketing and Communications teams.
