What did we talk about?
• We heard from AFC Fylde Community Foundation, who applied for funding to run weekly youth activities at Lower Lane Community Centre for 12 months. Their application was approved.
• Chorley’s Angels, applied for funding to run Stop the Bleed training sessions. Their application was approved
• Claire Goodworth, Progress Futures Manager, provided an update on Progress Futures.
• Diane Nash, Customer Voice Manager, provided an update on the amount spent from the Community Investment Fund during the year so far.
• We looked through the annual update report for the Community Investment Fund 2024-25 which is being prepared for Group Board.
• Neil Bergin-Faragher, Head of Customer Experience, let tenants know about the AGM tenant celebration event being planned for 1 September. Our involved tenants received an invitation to join in.
• The group was asked to think about how the Community Investment Fund could be promoted and used for RWP homes and the extra care scheme in Lancaster.
Next steps
• Process grant agreements and project set up information for AFC Fylde Community Foundation and Chorley’s Angels.
• Consider promotion of the Community Investment Fund for RWP and extra care tenants.
