Tenant Celebration and AGM
Following our AGM this year, our board members and involved tenants met together at The Base in Leyland to exchange ideas and thoughts about what we achieved together during 2024/25.
It was chance to celebrate the positive outcomes for tenants and our communities, as well as looking at ideas for future improvements in how we deliver our services to tenants
Each board member and involved tenant took part in fabulous craft activities that were creative and fun, themed around “What are you most proud of about living, working, being at Progress?” and “What would living and working at Progress look like in five years’ time?”
They also enjoyed afternoon tea together, too!
Group Chief Executive Jacqui De-Rose commented on the success of the event and says: “By working together, taking a moment just to reflect on what's been achieved and sharing that experience is really good for everybody's wellbeing. It’s also important to understand what can we do differently, what can we do better, and just take that time to sit together and hear each other's views. We can listen to each other and think about what the future could look like.”
Reflecting on our shared purpose and achievements during the past year, our Group Chair Sheena McDonnell says: “These achievements matter because they reflect our shared purpose. For tenants, it’s about having secure homes and support. For colleagues and the board, it’s about delivering with integrity and care. And for the wider community, it’s about being more than a housing provider, we’re a partner in people’s lives.”
Involved tenant Margaret believes that taking an active role within the Group is a great way to contribute to how services are delivered.
She says: “I think tenants should get involved with Progress Housing because it gives them a chance to meet other tenants from other areas, and to be able to exchange ideas and help to improve the services for Progress Housing.”
