Easter Fun
Our tenants had plenty of fun over the Easter holidays.
There was plenty of competitive spirit at Lower Lane Community Centre as youngsters played games such as stand-up bingo, find the string, and the blindfold cotton wall ball challenge to win Easter eggs.
Over at Saltcotes, we also organised a community litter pick and Easter trail for families. Youngsters were rewarded with an Easter egg and won raffle prizes kindly supplied by IHOPE Fylde.
Fylde Council also joined us, handing out recyclable bags. Big thank you also goes to Wesley’s Community Cafe and Larder for providing lunch and bread on the day.
Susan told us: “It’s nice to see the young ones helping out and doing the litter pick. Skye loves helping out.”
Jane said: “It’s been really good. My daughter Myla wanted to do the litter pick, and she enjoyed the Easter trail.”
And it wasn’t just the children having fun, as our independent living tenants took part in their own Easter activities.
We organised craft sessions at some of our schemes, where tenants painted eggs and made wooden decorations.
They also enjoyed themselves at the annual social gathering at St Gerard’s Parochial Centre in Lostock Hall, where there was plenty of singing and dancing.
