Tenant notice | Property valuations

Tenant notice: Between 24 March to 25 April 2025, we will be carrying out property valuations on a selection of properties

We would like to inform our tenants that between 24 March 2025 and 25 April 2025, we are working Chartered Surveyors, Jones Lang LaSalle, to value several of our properties to meet our financial requirements.

Letters will be sent out in March to tenants of the properties that have been selected to take part in the inspections, and it would be greatly appreciated if you could give our Jones Lang LaSalle surveyors access to view your home.

Please note that the surveyors will not view all properties. If your property has been selected and you are not in when they call, they will not leave a card or call back but will visit another property instead. You do not need to wait in or make special arrangements.

However, if you are in when the surveyors call, it would be greatly appreciated if you could co-operate in giving them access to view your home. Their inspections (which may include taking photos) will last only a few minutes, and they will not disturb your home in any way.

Below are some questions you may have about the visits from Jones Lang LaSalle:

  • Why are Jones Lang LaSalle coming to visit my property?

From time to time, Progress Housing Group is required to carry out valuations on several properties to meet our financial requirements and update our lending information.

  • Are you undertaking these visits because you are considering selling properties?

No, we have no intention to sell your property or change your tenancy as a result of the inspections.

  • Will this inspection affect my tenancy agreement or rent?

No, these inspections will not lead to any change to your tenancy or your rent.

  • What will the Jones Lang LaSalle surveyor look at in my home?

The inspections (which may include taking photos) will last only a few minutes and will not disturb your home in any way.

  • How will I know that it is a genuine Jones Lang LaSalle surveyor at my door?

The surveyors will carry a copy of a letter sent to you during March to inform you about their visit, as well as Jones Lang LaSalle company identification. If you have any concerns, please contact us at enquiries@progressgroup.org.uk, live chat at www.progressgroup.org.uk or call 0333 320 4555.

  • Should I tell Jones Lang LaSalle about repairs that I need completing?

No, this is not an inspection to highlight repair issues, and these should be reported to us in the usual way.

  • What if I am not at home when Jones Lang LaSalle come round?

If you are in when the surveyors call, it would be greatly appreciated if you could co-operate in giving them access to view your home. However, if you are not at home when they call, they will not leave a card or call back but will visit another property instead. You do not need to wait in or make special arrangements.

Thank you to all our tenants for your cooperation. It is greatly appreciated.

If you have any questions about the above visits, please contact us at enquiries@progressgroup.org.uk, live chat at www.progressgroup.org.uk or call 0333 320 4555.
